Responsibilities:
Packaging:
Carefully and efficiently package high-end furniture items for secure transport.
Ensure that all packaging materials are used effectively to prevent damage during transit.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain an organized packaging area.
Delivery Driving:
Safely operate company vehicles for the timely delivery of high-end furniture to clients.
Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients during deliveries.
Load and unload furniture items with precision and care.
Schedule and Coordination:
Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate delivery schedules.
Collaborate with the logistics team to plan efficient delivery routes.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and traffic regulations.
Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card in accordance with Michigan state regulations.
Requirements:
Must be open to working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture, up to 70 pounds or more.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card in the state of Michigan.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Previous experience in packaging or delivery, especially with high-end furniture, is a plus.
Compensation:
Starting pay is between $17 and $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
